Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.
The arrests come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
