Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been earned on hardcourt
A comeback Daniil Medvedev won his initial title for 882 days with success over opponent Moutet in the tournament championship match.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has experienced a torrid period, managing just a single victory at the big events and suffering a meltdown at the American major.
His inconsistency on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serve in especial - led to him falling of the top ten and eventually parting ways with long-term coach his previous coach.
Now collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily advanced in the past month - culminating in a tightly fought competitive win over challenger Corentin Moutet.
It is the player's first championship following the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard court since that period of 2023.
The win also signifies he has achieved 21 victories at 21 distinct competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a event with my two daughters together, so to secure a trophy is particularly special," commented ranked player the champion.
"This title is in honour of my younger daughter her name, because the maiden victory I achieved when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had been defeated in his previous six championship matches, featuring in that event earlier this year.
The player's retrieving approach and recurring reactions on court had caused some to wonder if his skill to play at the top level was over.
But the player has altered his approach in recent weeks, making an effort to approach the net and play assertively, backed up by an better service.
Medvedev recovered from a disadvantage in the initial set against the challenging opponent, winning 4 of the last five points to gain the advantage.
The pair exchanged break points in the middle set before Moutet, striving for his maiden tour victory, took control to create a third set.
The opponent defended 4 early-game opportunities in a tight deciding set before the champion won the break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Suitably, Medvedev clinched the title with a rally at the net area, with Moutet failing to handle a return after over two and a half hours.
