The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Fighters Party

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, fresh DM the talented storyteller has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a diverse cast of heroes, and a exciting storyline featuring divine entities, fiends, and dark forces increasing in influence within the city.

Note: Spoilers for the latest installment of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed

Episode 3 finished on a dramatic pause and revealed the premier party of heroes who will split off from the main group to begin their independent quest, apart from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table features the determined fighter (brought to life by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

Given an extensive roster, it was obvious from the beginning that having everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

That’s why, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Prelude, intertwining the personal journeys before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

Per the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for players who prefer a traditionally charged battle-oriented story mode where peaceful solutions are rare.

At first glance, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might appear out of place, but the events of episode 3 show why these five characters are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the team understands precisely where to head next after a intense first encounter with the enemy group.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose passing started the narrative’s action—used The Crow Keepers for his own means, breaking into the hidden lair, assaulting Thimble, and stealing all the enchanted items to auction.

The antagonist then cleared his debts and ran away to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Additionally, each adventurer has a individual motive to depart the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as the companion and best friend, desires vengeance.
  • The adventurer knows Timmony and advises that it is a hostile place.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having defied his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
  • However, their status as prominent individuals in the powerful family could enable the party access locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Moreover, Teor swore a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his salvation and will now follow him everywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the rulers that control the city for a multiple motives, making lingering locally too risky:

  • Thimble and Kattigan are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and Wicander turned against House Halovar and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • The fighter is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This means them few options but to journey toward Timmony in search of Casimir.

Future Episodes

According to the recent installment’s Cooldown, we learn that the Soldiers table won’t be around next week, leaving the rest of the players to form the Questers and Planners groups.

Viewers can anticipate finding out which players will be assigned to which table in the season’s concluding setup installment, released on October 24.
